Quarry Bay sunken vessel: survey and salvage
Underwater survey of a sunken barge, then cutting it into three sections of 91, 119 and 180 tonnes to lift it out.

A barge sank at Quarry Bay and settled on a sloping seabed. We first surveyed the wreck underwater and drew its plan, sections and how it lay against the seabed.
It was too heavy to lift in one piece, so we planned an underwater cut into three sections of about 91, 119 and 180 tonnes, sized to the available lifting capacity. The drawings set out the cutting procedure and direction, and the sling arrangement for lifting each section.
